FAQ’s
Q: What torque range does the TorqRatchet GO Lite cover?
A: The TorqRatchet GO Lite provides precise torque settings from 3 to 12Nm, making it ideal for most bicycle components including stems, seat posts, bottle cages, and derailleur adjustments. This range covers the majority of torque specifications found on modern bicycles.
Q: How accurate is the torque measurement?
A: The TorqRatchet GO Lite is calibrated to ±6% accuracy, meeting professional workshop standards.
Q: What bits are included with the TorqRatchet GO Lite?
A: The tool comes with a comprehensive bit set including the most common sizes needed for bicycle maintenance: 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm hex bits, T25 Torx, and a Phillips #2 screwdriver bit. All bits are made from hardened S2 steel for durability.
Q: Is this tool suitable for travel and portable use?
A: Absolutely. Weighing just 110 grams and featuring a compact design, the TorqRatchet GO Lite is specifically engineered for portability. It’s perfect for taking on rides, races, or bike trips where you need reliable torque control without carrying a full workshop.
Q: How do I set the desired torque value?
A: It is not possible to have a preset torque in a tool this size. As you apply torque the white line within the beam gauge indicates how much torque you are applying, simply stop when you reach the desired amount.
Q: Can I use this on carbon fiber components?
A: Yes, the TorqRatchet GO Lite is excellent for carbon fiber components. Proper torque is critical for carbon parts, and this tool ensures you apply the exact manufacturer-specified torque, preventing both under-tightening (which can cause slipping) and over-tightening (which can damage carbon fiber).
Q: Does the TorqRatchet GO Lite require recalibration?
A: Under normal use, the tool maintains its accuracy for years. Accurate for 5000 cycles, it is not possible re-calibrate the tool, however most recalibrations of torque tools costs more than a replacement Torqratchet Go Lite
Q: What’s the difference between the GO Lite and other torque tools?
A: The GO Lite is designed specifically for portability without sacrificing accuracy. Unlike bulkier workshop torque wrenches, it’s compact enough for your jersey pocket or saddle bag, yet maintains professional-grade ±6% accuracy. It’s the perfect middle ground between basic multi-tools and full-size torque wrenches.
